Coach Ralphs enters his first season as the head coach of the Utah State University Eastern men's basketball program after spending the previous six seasons as a member of the Eagles' coaching staff. Ralphs joined USU Eastern as an assistant coach in 2020 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2023, helping guide the program through a period of significant growth and success.
During his time at USU Eastern, Ralphs has helped move approximately 20 players on to four-year schools while developing multiple All-Region selections. He played an instrumental role in coaching Martel Williams to SWAC Player of the Year honors and First Team All-American recognition. Ralphs also helped Ike Palmer progress from Second Team All-Region to First Team All-Region honors. As a staff, the Eagles recorded multiple third-place finishes in the Scenic West Athletic Conference and earned the first victory over Snow College in program history. The program also returned to the national rankings for the first time since 2010.
Ralphs began his coaching career at Idaho State University, serving as a men's basketball student manager from 2017-2019 before becoming a volunteer graduate assistant from 2019-2020. He then joined the USU Eastern coaching staff, where he spent three seasons as an assistant before being elevated to associate head coach. Ralphs earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and master's degree in athletic administration, both from Idaho State University.
A strong emphasis on player development and helping student-athletes reach the next level has been a consistent part of Ralphs' coaching career. His experience within the USU Eastern program, combined with his familiarity with the players and program, provides a strong foundation as he begins his first season leading the Eagles.
Outside of basketball, Ralphs is the son of Lee and Pam Ralphs and has one sister, Karley. He enters his first season as head coach with a focus on continuing the program's momentum, developing student-athletes and building on the foundation established during his time on the USU Eastern coaching staff.
