Cheyanne Slaughter

Cheyanne Slaughter graduated from Carbon High School in 2023 and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Utah State University Eastern in 2025. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education through Western Governors University.

Her coaching journey began as a volunteer at Mont Harmon Middle School from 2022 to 2025, followed by a volunteer coaching role at Carbon High School from 2023 to 2025. This will be her first season coaching at the collegiate level, joining the Utah State University Eastern Archery Team in 2025.

As an athlete, she competed in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) for seven years, participating in state, national, and championship tournaments. She earned first-place finishes at the Utah State Tournament in both 2021 and 2022 and claimed first place at the NASP National Tournament in 2022. In 2023, she entered her first 3D competition and placed 8th at the Championship tournament. One of her most notable achievements came in 2022 when she was named Overall Top Female for the Western Bullseye Division with an impressive score of 296 out of 300, earning her a spot in a national scholarship shoot-off with the top five males and females from across the country.

Outside of coaching and competition, she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hunting, and riding ATVs with her parents, Justin and Michelle, and her younger sister, Ashlyn. She also has a love for reading and quiet time with a good book.
