High School:  She was on the Union High Drill team both her junior and senior years and was honored as Dance Captain her senior year.  She was awarded Academic All-Region her senior year and lettered both her junior and senior years.  She has trained and danced competitively over 16 years, most recently with Spot on Dance Studio.

Personal:  She is the third child of four (one older sister and brother and one younger sister), of Matt Garner and Linzi Labrum.  Her Step Mom is Cindy McCarley and Step Dad is Ryan Abplanalp.  She also has three younger step siblings that she adores including her two step brothers and one step sister.  Both of Jade's parents are first generation college graduates who were heavily involved in student government, with her Dad serving as Men's Student Association President and Mom as a Student Senator adn then Senate President for the entire Utah Collegiate Assembly.

You will rarely see her enjoying the outdoors or shopping because she spends all of her spare time watching and/or participating in any form of dance.  Her favorite hobby is anything dance related including, dance conventions, competitions, recitals, and teaching dance.  One of her biggest goals has been to dance on a collegiate level.  She is pursuing a degree in general studies and cosmetology.  Where USU Eastern has both a dance team and a cosmetology program, she was thrilled to be chosen as a member of the dance team and be able to attend USU Eastern.  She loves the small campus feel, faculty to student ratio, and the overall student body vibe.
