Biography
Craig Olson, a freshman from Price, Utah, brings an impressive mountain biking background to USU Eastern. A Carbon High School graduate, Olson was a two-time state champion in cross country mountain biking and also captured a state title in super gravity downhill. He went undefeated in cross country races throughout his high school career and also competed in football, tennis, and track & field.
He is the son of Jason and ReeAnn Olson and the middle child among five sisters. His mother, ReeAnn, was a successful competitive freestyle diver, and his father, Jason, played basketball in high school. His family, now living in Queen Creek, Arizona, enjoys staying active and often rides mountain bikes together.
Craig is passionate about understanding the human mind and spirit. He began his college education at Arizona State University studying sports and performance psychology and now continues his academic path at USU Eastern, pursuing a degree in general psychology with a minor in sports coaching. He transferred to USUE to race competitively, viewing it as an opportunity to deepen his knowledge of performance psychology through firsthand athletic experience. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors and staying active.
