Kate Heaton, from Sandy, Utah, attended Alta High School where she excelled both athletically and academically. She maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and was on the high honor roll all four years. Kate was involved in student government and the Peer Leadership Team. She played varsity soccer and earned the Academic All-State award for soccer.

Outside of high school, Kate has been part of the same club team for 10 years. Her team won State Cup in 2022 and 2023 and reached the finals in 2024. They were league champions for three years, went to regionals two years in a row, and qualified for nationals in July 2024.

Kate is the second oldest of five siblings. She has one older brother, a twin sister, and two younger brothers. Her parents, Megan and Michael Heaton, have been very supportive of her athletic and academic pursuits.

Kate enjoys being active and is very competitive. She loves to play spikeball and pickleball. She has played the piano for eight years and has a strong passion for skiing and spending time with her family. Kate plans to study Health Science and chose USU Eastern for the opportunity to continue playing soccer.
