Ellyse Kessler is from Bountiful, Utah, and graduated from Bountiful High School where she made a significant impact on the soccer field. Throughout her high school career, Ellyse demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication. She helped her team secure second place in the state championships during both her junior and senior years, playing the full game in each of those matches. Ellyse was honored with an All-State Honorable Mention in her senior year, and she accumulated impressive career stats with 27 goals and 24 assists. Her achievements included being named Forward of the Year as a junior and Playmaker of the Year as a senior.

Ellyse’s parents, Jenn and Gary Kessler, did not pursue soccer beyond the youth level, but they supported their children’s athletic endeavors. All five siblings started playing soccer at the age of six, but only Ellyse, her third oldest sibling Emily, and the youngest, David, continued their soccer careers beyond the age of 15. Emily played for Casper, Wyoming during the '23 season and is now on a mission.

In her free time, Ellyse enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and walking with family and friends. She has a passion for shopping, reading, and plays both the piano and viola. Ellyse plans to study Criminal Justice at USU Eastern with aspirations of becoming a Criminal Prosecuting Attorney. She chose USU Eastern for its supportive environment and the opportunity to continue her soccer career while pursuing her academic goals.
