The No. 17 Utah State Eastern women's soccer team defeated Pacific Northwest Christian College 21-0 on Saturday, securing the No. 4 seed in the Scenic West Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

The Eagles hosted the PNWCC Gladiators at Castleview Hospital Soccer Field for Sophomore Day and wasted no time establishing control. Eastern scored four goals in the opening 10 minutes and continued its offensive surge, finding the back of the net 16 times in the first half.

Paisley Ashworth, Bethany Danielson, Sienna Goulding, Mylie Louder, Kayla Stoddard, McKinley Jorgensen, Jemma Rose, Bree Bentley, Mia Pickering, Cassie Larsen, Xandi Feroah, Ellyse Kessler and Kylie Harris each scored in the first half. Isabelle Hill added three goals as the Eagles built a commanding lead before halftime.

Eastern continued its scoring pace after the break, adding five goals in the second half before the match was ended in the 70th minute under the mercy rule.

Anna Hendrix scored twice in the second half, while Louder, Danielson and Stoddard each added a goal. Hill, Danielson, Stoddard and Louder finished with multiple goals in the match.

The victory secured the No. 4 seed for Eastern in the Scenic West postseason tournament. The Eagles will face top-seeded Salt Lake Community College in the opening round. Eastern lost the first meeting between the teams this season but earned a draw in their second matchup.

The conference tournament begins Thursday, Oct. 29. Game times have not yet been announced.
