PRICE, Utah – The Eagles picked up their third straight win Tuesday by defeating the #15 Snow College Badgers 65-64 at home.

In the last two meetings against Snow, the Eagles allowed the Badgers to get hot behind the three point line. The Badgers shot at least 40% from behind the three point line in both their previous wins against the Eagles.

On Tuesday night it was a different story for the Eagles, they only allowed the Badgers to shoot 32% from the field and 33% from three point range.

Defending the Badger's three point shooters was a point of emphasis going into the game according to Coach Vando Becheli.

"We know that Snow have a bunch of shooters could hurt us bad if they shoot good from the three point line so we had to close out on this players really well and contest every shot that they took up! I think we did a good job on contesting their shots and didn't give them anything easy," Becheli said.

Another story from the game against Snow was the play of Becheli's bench players who stepped up in place of injured Milan Surlic' and Andy Isokpehi.

With sophomore Koel Cutler and freshmean Nico Rojas moving to the starting lineup, sophomore Alex Morrell, freshmen Nico Schapochnik and Kristupas Totoris provided great minutes for Becheli. They scored a combined 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds with 5 assists.

Schapochnik played a big role defending Snow's best player Zach Hunsaker and this contribute a lot for our win and Alex gave us very good minutes on both ends of the floor.He scored and played very good defense also," Becheli said.

The game went down to the wire in the second half with the Eagle maintaining a three point lead with 29 seconds to go.

Following a timeout the Badgers made a three point shot to tie the game at 64 all.

The next possession the Eagles ran out the clock to get the last shot. Schapochnik passed the ball inside to Bailey who was fouled on the shot attempt 4.3 seconds left in the game.

Bailey made 1 of 2 of the free throws following the foul to seal the victory for the Eagles.

The leading scorer for the Eagles was Cutler and Bailey who each had 12 points. Bailey finished the game with a double-double, finishing with 11 rebounds.

Freshman guard scored 10 points with 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 37 minutes of play for the Eagles.

With the upset of Snow, the Eagles are on a three-game winning streak going into tomorrow night's home game against the College of Southern Idaho.
