PRICE, UTAH – The No. 18 Utah State Eastern volleyball team will conclude their regular season home schedule this Friday and Saturday.
The Eagles will host No. 7 Snow College on Friday on fan appreciation night at 7 p.m. in the BDAC.
Last month the Eagles lost to Snow 3-1 in Ephraim in a hard-fought match in Ephraim.
According to Utah State Eastern Head Coach
Danielle Jensen, the rematch against Snow this Friday is a big one to her and her team.
"It will be a huge game for us, this game could help us change the tempo of the second part of conference for us," said Jensen.
For fan appreciation night, the team will be giving out shirts, prizes, and will have games during timeouts for fans to participate in.
The following day the Eagles will have their final home game of the regular season against the College of Southern Nevada at 3 p.m.
In September, the Eagles edged CSN in a game that went to five sets, 5-2 in Las Vegas.
Saturday's game will be sophomore night and the team will honor the five sophomores on this year's team.
Jensen hopes her team can send the sophomores out with one last win because of the impact they have had on her and the program.
"They have led us all year and have turned into amazing athletes and young women. They have been with me since the beginning and it's been an honor to coach them. They are a special group of girls and I will miss them next year," said Jensen.
The sophomores who will be honored are
Alilia Feletoa,
Mekenzie Miller,
Jaelyn Olsen,
Agatha Roese-Olsen, and
Sidney Springer.
Fans who cannot make it to the games can watch online at the USU Eastern Athletics YouTube channel or on KOAL at koalitv.com.
Jensen is in her second year leading the volleyball program and has an overall record of 26-23.
This season the Eagles have an overall record of 16-6 and have been in the NJCAA Division I Top 20 volleyball rankings every week of the season.
