Kahea Nihipali's journey in volleyball began at Utah State Eastern, where she played from 2019 to 2021. During her time as a player, she contributed to the team's historic achievement of reaching the National Tournament for the first time, where they placed 7th in the nation. Her exceptional skills on the court earned her various Conference Tournament and Region honors, solidifying her reputation as a formidable athlete.
After earning her Associate of Science at Utah State Eastern, Kahea decided to further her education, currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree. Her passion for volleyball never waned, and in January 2024, she returned to her alma mater, this time as an Assistant Volleyball Coach. Excited to be back, Kahea is eager to work with the new generation of athletes, sharing her experience and knowledge to help them achieve their goals.
Kahea's dedication to volleyball is deeply rooted in her family. Growing up in Las Vegas as the second oldest of five children, she was surrounded by a strong sports culture. Both her parents and her older sister played collegiate sports, instilling a love for athleticism and competition in her from a young age.
Despite her busy schedule, Kahea remains closely connected to her family, who continue to support her in all her endeavors. As she embarks on this new chapter at USU Eastern, Kahea is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the program that shaped her and looks forward to making a lasting impact as a coach.
