Shelby Shurtliff

Coach Shurtliff is entering her second season as Head Softball Coach at USU Eastern.

She spent the 2019 season as an assistant for the Eagles.

Attending Payson High School, she received All-Region honors in 2013-2015.

Shurtliff played collegiate softball at Salt Lake Community College from 2015-2017. After a redshirt season, she helped the Bruins win the SWAC with only two losses and Regionals. In that same postseason, SLCC reached the NJCAA National Championship where they lost to Butler CC in the finals.

After 2017, Shurtliff transferred to USU Eastern where she was an all-conference infielder for the Eagles in 2018.

When her playing days came to an end she accepted an assistant coaching job at USUE in 2019. She then became the head coach when the position opened up prior to the 2020 campaign.

Shurtliff has an Associates of Science from Salt Lake Community College.

She is originally from Payson, Utah.
