Biography

Brooklynn Zajac is a freshman catcher and outfielder on the softball team from Springville, Utah. 

  • Freshman Year: Brooklynn started every game as the varsity left fielder, hitting 6 home runs. She earned First Team All-Region, Second Team All-Valley, and Honorable Mention All-State honors, helping her team secure 5th place in the state.
  • Sophomore Year: She transitioned to the varsity catcher position, starting every game and again leading her team to a 5th place finish in the state.
  • Junior Year: Brooklynn continued as the starting varsity catcher, with a batting average of .303, and her team achieved a 3rd place finish in the state.
  • Senior Year: Brooklynn led her team with a .422 batting average, hitting 4 home runs, 35 RBIs, 40 runs, and stealing 17 bases. She was named First Team All-Region, First Team All-Valley, and First Team All-State, with her team finishing as the state runner-up.

Brooklynn comes from a family of five, with two brothers—one older and one younger. Her parents are Dawna and Anthony Zajac.

In addition to her love for softball, Brooklynn enjoys drawing and anything related to art. She is majoring in Small Business Operations with the aspiration of opening her own salon one day. Brooklynn chose to attend USU Eastern because of the educational opportunities and her admiration for Coach Groves.
