PRICE – Utah State Eastern Women's Basketball lost to the College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles 75-69 at home on Saturday in overtime.

The game would go down to the wire in regulation with both teams going back and forth until the final buzzer.

With 10 seconds left in regulation, USU Eastern's Emmery Wagstaff hit a three pointer to put the Eagles up 59-56.

In the next possession, CSI would respond with a three of their own made by Finley Garnett with eight seconds left.

A last second attempt by USU Easter to win the game would not be successful as a shot by Wagstaff would come up short.

In overtime CSI would sink six free throws in the final minutes to put the Golden Eagles over the top to give them their first win this season over USU Eastern.

"The team played hard and put themselves in a great position to win.  Unfortunately we came up short," said USU Eastern Head Coach Chelsey Warburton.

Sophomore forward Alyssa Crumley led the Eagles with 19 points while grabbing nine rebounds and three assists.

Wagstaff finished the game with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists.

The Eagles finish the regular season with a 17-10 record and a 5-7 record in conference play.

They will take on the Colorado Northwest Spartans on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. in the opening round of the 2019 Region XVIII Tournament.
