Jared Woodhouse, head men's soccer coach and assistant women's soccer coach, has been living in the southeastern Utah for eight years.  Living in Price, Utah with his wife Julie and their four children.   He moved to the area from Northern Nevada (not Vegas) were they had been living for seven years.  He was in Nevada working in a Physical Therapy and coaching Club and High school soccer.  Upon moving to the Price area he thought that his love of coaching and playing soccer would be sacrificed for his new job at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation.  A year after moving to the area however, USU Eastern began the search for a soccer coaching staff as they were about to start a Men's and Women's programs at the school.  He was overjoyed at the prospect of being able to continue coaching.  He applied and was on hired as the Assistant Soccer coach of both the Men's and Women's teams.   He has served in that capacity until the departure of the previous head coach to a job in Wyoming last January.  He is now the Head coach of both teams.
He grew up in Orem until the age of sixteen at which time his family moved to the St. George Area where he finished high school at Snow Canyon.  There he was a three sport letter winner and part of one State championship team in Football and a third place finish in soccer.  During his playing career he played for the aforementioned High schools and multiple club/traveling teams in the state and finally for then Dixie College.   He severed an LDS mission to Monterrey, Mexico.
After his mission he attended Dixie and he met his wife while attending UVU in Orem Utah.  After finishing a his degree and getting licensed he moved to Nevada with his wife and one child.  While living in Nevada two more children were born.  His fourth child was born here in Price, Utah.
He is anxious to begin his job of head coach.  The beginning of his coaching stint has been difficult as he hasn't been able to work much with the teams due to corona virus.  The Spring season where " we make a lot of progress" was cut off due to the virus and he's been desperate to get back onto the field with his teams ever since.  He is excited for the players to arrive and get started on what could be special seasons for both teams.
