Bird played volleyball throughout high school and also competed in basketball and softball. She was awarded All-Region and All-State honors in her sophomore, junior, and senior years. Bird ranked in the top 5 in the state of Utah for assists. She was team captain and voted Team MVP for three years. Her club team took 9th in nationals, and her high school team placed 5th in state. Bird graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA.

Bird’s parents are Lex and Jessi Allen, and she has two siblings and two adorable dogs! Her family loves traveling and spent a year and a half living in Australia and New Zealand.

Bird loves being outside and in the sun! She enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin, in the mountains, or at the lakes. Bird has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh. She chose to attend USU Eastern because she loved the campus, coaches, and team culture. Bird is very adventurous, always eager to try new things and meet new people. She has taken several humanitarian trips with family and friends to places like Indonesia, Tonga, Fiji, and Mexico. One of her favorite trips was attending the NCAA Volleyball Championships in 2023 in Florida, where she studied and cheered for some of the best setters in the nation. Bird is living her dream of playing college volleyball and is excited to start her path toward coaching someday.
