Maddie Jensen, a catcher from Eagle Mountain, Utah, is a freshman on the USU Eastern softball team.

During her high school career at Cedar Valley High School, Maddie earned the Golden Glove Award and was selected as a team captain in her senior year. She achieved a .381 batting average with 32 hits and two home runs during her senior year. Over the season, she caught 27 games, boasting a .991 fielding percentage with 226 total chances and 217 putouts. Her club team also won two tournaments during the summer.

Maddie comes from a close-knit family of four. Her parents are Andy and Lisa, and she has an older brother named Hunter, who is three years her senior. The Jensen family enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, and backpacking.

Maddie chose to attend USU Eastern because of her initial desire to attend Utah State and her passion for playing softball. She loves music, which is always playing in her ears, and enjoys going for drives. While she’s still deciding on her major, she’s considering studying either business or something related to the outdoors.
