High School:  She was a three sport athlete in high school and received Academic All-State and All-Region in each sport.  She was awarded Defensive Player of the Year her senior year in soccer.  She was team captain all four years of her high school soccer career.

Personal:  She is the daughter of Rich and Joy Smith.  She has three older brothers, two sister-in-laws, and one nephew.  Katy loves to spend time with her family and says that they are her best friends.

In her spare time she likes spending time in the outdoors.  She enjoys dirt biking, hiking, and skiing.  She chose USU Eastern because she thought is was a perfect fit for her.  She plans to study architectural and interior design.
