Clara played soccer for ten years, but then she chose to focus on the game of volleyball. During high school, she played in the highest division available in Sweden and has also represented the Swedish junior national team twice. In October 2023, the team won the Nordic Championship, which qualified Sweden to the European Championship. Clara and the team will play in the EC in August 2024 in Bulgaria.

Clara lives with her mom, Petra Philipsson, dad, Niklas Philipsson, little brother, Alex Philipsson, and a cat named Leja. Her mother also played volleyball, which inspired Clara to try the sport, something she is very happy about today.

Clara loves to be outside, preferably with family and friends, doing fun activities or just spending time together. She also enjoys baking, and her favorite color is blue at the moment. Biology is something she would like to study in college. She chose USU Eastern because they have a great coaching staff and an amazing team spirit.
