PRICE – Utah State Eastern men's basketball lost to #15 Indian Hills Warriors 100-82 on Friday night in Twin Falls.
The Eagles and the Warriors opened the game back and forth in the first half until the game was tied at 10-10 with 15 minutes left.
Indian Hills would then go on a 19-5 run in the next six minutes to go up 29-15.
The Warriors shot very well from the field in the first half, shooting 57.1 % from the floor and 8 of 10 from the behind the three-point line.
Sophomore center Stevan Jeremic had a solid performance in the first half with 10 points and five rebounds for the Eagles.
After trailing at halftime 59-30, the Eagles would come out and go on a 11-4 run in the first three minutes of the second half to try and get back into the game.
The Eagles would end up shooting much better in the second half with a field goal percentage of . In the first half USU Eastern shot 10-37 for 27 percent from the field.
Sophomore Ognjen Pantovic had a great second half for the Eagles by scoring 17 of his team-high 21 points.
Pantovic also grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds which gave him his fifth double-double of the season.
Defensively Pantovic had a team-high three blocks and a steal against the Warriors.
Although they played better as a team in the second half, the Warriors lead was too big to come back from and the Eagles would go on to lose their second straight game.
Freshman guard Blaze Nield had another solid performance for USU Eastern by scoring 19 points with six rebounds and six assists.
The Eagles now have an overall record of 11-6 and will have one more non-conference game this season with tomorrow night's game against Williston State.

Saturday's game will be the final game of non-conference play and of the year 2018 for the Eagles. They will host their conference opener against Colorado Northwest on January 5 at 5 p.m.
