Coach Bennett is entering his fifth season as both the Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach.
In his four seasons at the helm, Bennett has a a 47-21-9 record coaching the women's team and a 32-32-9 record coaching the men's team. In 2017, he coached the women's soccer team to the Region XVIII championship game.
Before coming to USU Eastern, Bennett coached the Men’s and Women’s soccer teams at Iowa Lakes Community college for three seasons. Prior to that he was the head cross country coach at William Penn University for two years. He coached men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and track at William Penn from 1999 to 2004. He has also coached soccer at Iowa Western Community College from 2004-2008, where in 2006 and 2007 his women’s teams were runner-ups at the NJCAA National Championships. Bennett has lead his soccer teams to seven conference titles and two district titles as a coach.
He ran cross country at the college level for College of Southern Idaho and at William Penn. He also played soccer at William Penn in 1996.
Coach Bennett has been married to his wife Karri for 27 years and the couple has three children, Kelvin (26), Mark (21), and Ashlee (16).
